All former ship’s company, Marines, Air Group personnel, officers and enlisted, who served aboard the U.S.S. Tarawa CV-CVA-CVS-40 and similar personnel, current or veterans of the U.S.S. Tarawa LHA-1 are eligible for membership in the U.S.S. Tarawa Veterans’ Association. Membership dues are $20 a fiscal year from July 1 to June 30. The dues cover the routine operations of the Association and the cost of printing and mailing our quarterly, Tradewinds. Only dues-paying members receive all four editions of Tradewinds every year. Although all shipmates are welcome to attend the business sessions at our annual reunions, only dues-paying members can vote on Association business.
