Anniversary Items For Sale

The booklet, certificate and pencil box pictured here are for sale. They were passed out to all hands attending the reunion in Buffalo.

The booklet was designed to recognize the 20^th anniversary of the USS Tarawa Veterans’ Association. It offers personal profiles of all of our presidents, the chaplain and our historian/editor of Tradewinds. It also gives accounts of each of the 20 reunions our group has enjoyed.

The certificates were designed for the occasion by shipmate Ned Paul, the same artist who painted the map of the world in the forward elevator bay during the Second World Cruise. They measure 8 1/2 by 11 and are suitable for framing.

The pencil boxes were designed and hand-crafted by our Chaplain, Bob Hutchison. They make an ideal addition to anyone’s desk to hold those errant pencils and pens that keep getting lost, usually at the very moment they are needed.

We also have an abundance of Buffalo hat pins, a neat addition to that Tarawa ball cap we all sport.
